Stopped by an Apple Retail Store tonight (on the night of their big release of the new Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger - which is being offered at a retail price of $129.99 before sales tax) and ended up with a scratch-off 10%-off card that was NOT good towards the purchase of Tiger. Arggh. So I instead ordered it at Amazon.com, where, after rebate, it is just $94.99 (with free shipping and no sales tax!). So instead of Apple rewarding their biggest fans for waiting in line at an Apple Retail Store and getting my money directly, they now end up getting less through Amazon.com, I save around $45, and they have annoyed a long time Apple fan. Well done Apple!
