What idiot thought that it was a good idea to add a siren sound to a radio commercial? Many people listen to radio while driving - and hearing a siren when you are driving along is not only startling, which is bad enough in itself, but it is startling enough that the commercial itself is not remembered (thus the original question of this post!) - the only thing remembered is the irritation and annoyance produced when the realization sets in that that siren is not an ambulance or fire engine or highway patrol officer, but just a radio commercial brought to you by someone who never actually thought through his "oh so clever" idea...
