BloggerCon: "Fat Man Sings"

A link off of the BloggerCon schedule leads to a page that says, in part: "National Anthem, Fat Man Sings. Two sessions, opening and closing the conference. At the National Anthem session we sing a song. Seriously. Then we have a discussion about something that's of interest on November 6. It's not so important what is discussed, rather how it is discussed. This sets an example to make sure all the discussions have some kind of consistent quality."

I feel that I am missing some kind of obvious inside joke. Can anyone explain? Thanks!
